the holistic approach
a patient's journey) While each patient's course of and response to treatment is unique, there is a common path on the journey towards eliminating or minimizing the conditions that have brought you here. It is helpful to understand this journey and our mutual commitment to wellness.

  • your first visit as a chiropractic patient
  • Your first visit as a chiropractic patient includes a brief history, physical exam, and treatment. You should allow a full hour for this visit and bring any relevant lab work, X-rays or diagnostic work that will assist us in the evaluation. Our focus during your first visit is to develop an understanding of you as a whole person including the medical, structural, and emotional stress factors in your life. At the end of the evaluation, we will provide our recommended course of treatment that may include adjunctive therapies such as homeopathy, massage, or yoga therapy. We may also recommend how changes to your current health practices, such as nutrition, can influence your recovery process.

  • achieving wellness with homeopathy
  • An initial homeopathic intake centers on an in-depth evaluation of your current condition, medical problems, past history, life style, character and other relevant information such as how you respond to certain stresses. This 90-minute appointment allows all of the patient's symptoms to be explored in depth and lays the foundation for constitutional homeopathic care.

  • massage therapy
  • If you are coming to Metropolis strictly for massage therapy, the evaluation consists of a brief interview focused on understanding specific areas in need of the massage therapist's attention. This assessment allows the certified massage therapist to recommend the most effective form of massage.

  • individual yoga
  • During the first initial Individual Yoga session, the yoga therapist will design a program best suited for your individual needs. The instructor will take into consideration your level of fitness, musculoskeletal issues, and personal goals.

  • nutritional guidance
  • An hour long nutritional guidance session is frequently scheduled to specifically address individual nutritional needs. Healthful sustenance supports the recovery process for many and can increase energy, vitality, and provide an overall sense of well being.
